Konica Minolta makes a significant impact to their consumer search experience, resulting in improvements in support and sales.


Konica Minolta’s Marketing department wanted to improve the user search experience and eliminate customer support issues they were having with consumers that could not find manuals, products and parts.

Leveraging LucidWorks Fusion, a leading enterprise search platform based on open source technology, we implemented a new search experience for Konica Minolta’s US and Canadian public sites. Business intent of the project was to improve the user’s search experience and eliminate customer service issues with finding products and parts.

With the implementation of a new search experience, the integrity of what is being returned in the search process – along with performance – has dramatically improved. Marketing can now shape content and navigation to their site based on a view of what users are searching for.
